Ever since the first pied lions were introduced to Lioden, the mutation has grown to be one of the most popular amongst its mutated counter parts, mainly due to it’s sheer variety and high demand throughout the community. Piebald is a mutation that causes patchy lose of pigmentation in the fur and skin due to a lack of red blood cells; Although not as profound as an achromatic lion, sometimes less is more when it comes to presentation ;) This mutation is harmless and will bring no major health defects to your lion and as far as test have shown, this gene is hereditary! Whilst the chances of the mutated gene passing are small, it’s still a worthy investment for many interested breeders.
