Feathery Manes are yet another type of mutation to the lion. It causes the mane along the legs, neck and head grow thick and edgy, although soft to the touch. If it is a lioness it will cause her to look similar to a male as the thick fur grows along the neck with all kinds of different shades of colors. On the males it will cause a more of a thicker mane, making it more pointy at the top. These lions do not regularly get any health defects and live quite normal lives.
